The President of the republic of Kenya has been fact checked by one of the major Media houses in Kenya after what he said at the national assembly.
President William Ruto is currently addressing the nation at the national assembly on various issues that his administration has done Since he took power in 2022.
Well, his statement on the comparison between Kenya and other Asian countries like Malaysia has been found not to be true.
According to the President, at the independence, there was no material difference in the development indicators between Kenya and Asian tigers.

Well, this has been fact checked to be untrue. According to the fact finding;Â by literacy rates in Singapore, Taiwan and Malaysia in 1965 was 75, 78, and 76 percent respectively while Kenya’s was below 40 percent.
The information by NTV Kenya was obtained from the World Development indicators by the World bank. Well, with the above evidence from the known source, it means that the president of the republic of Kenya lied to the members of the national assembly.
