Tranzoia County governor His Excellency George Natembeya was today forced to run for his life in Bungoma County leaving one of his cars destroyed by goons.
According to our sources, Natembeya was attending a campaign rally in support of independent candidate Eric Wekesa. Wekesa is vying for the Chwele -Kabuchai Ward seat in a by- election scheduled for November 27, 2025.

Well, according to the video, Natembeya had just taken a microphone to address the residents when a group of youths stormed his meeting with crude weapons.
They targeted him but fortune, his bodyguards were quick to put him in one of his cars before speeding off. The one car which was last to leave the venue was stoned and windscreen destroyed.

Natembeya himself has condemned the situation terming its traditional way of doing politics in a modern world. He promised to continue fighting for the people of the Western region with a clear picture of liberating them from two leaders who have taken advantage of the area for a very long time.
