Kalonzo Points Finger at Governor Wanga and PS Omollo After Goon Attack on Linda Mwananchi Rally
Former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka has strongly condemned a violent attack on the Linda Mwananchi opposition team after political goons ambushed their convoy in Homa Bay County.
Speaking during a Sunday church service, the Wiper Party leader voiced his outrage over the escalating political chaos, pointing directly at local and national authorities for facilitating the disruption.
Kalonzo named Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga and Interior Principal Secretary Raymond Omollo as key persons of interest regarding the attack, questioning their involvement in the hostility targeted at opposition leaders operating within the region.

According to Kalonzo, the armed assailants emerged from hideouts and descended on the convoy as leaders attempted to access their scheduled rally venues.
He faulted security agencies for their systemic inaction, expressing frustration that uniformed police officers stood by and watched the violence unfold without making arrests or taking measures to protect citizens and politicians.
“It is deeply unfortunate that police officers are merely watching as things unfold in Homa Bay without arresting the culprits and charging them in court,” Kalonzo remarked, stressing that selective law enforcement threatens Kenya’s democratic space.
The attack comes amid heightened political friction surrounding the opposition’s nationwide outreach, with previous stops in the Nyanza and Western regions experiencing similar security breaches.
Kalonzo urged the Inspector General of Police and the Directorate of Criminal Investigations to urgently investigate Governor Wanga and PS Omollo, demanding immediate legal action against both the perpetrators and suspected financiers of political violence.
