Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has fired back at President William Ruto in a sharp exchange that has ignited debate across the country, following recent remarks about his physical appearance.
In a video circulating widely online, Gachagua is seen addressing supporters during a rally in Kanzonzweni, Makueni County, where he responded to claims made by the Head of State labeling him and his allies as “fat.”

“I will go to the gym the day after he is declared a one-term president,” Gachagua told the cheering crowd, drawing laughter and applause from supporters who appeared energized by his remarks.
