The brazen intrusion immediately raised questions from Kenyans, with many wondering how the attackers gained access to the highly secured assembly grounds during working hours. Some observers also questioned whether the invasion was politically motivated.
According to the Majority Leader of Kisii County Assembly, security agencies have already launched investigations to establish those behind the incident.
He confirmed that police officers were at the scene moments after the disruption and have begun gathering evidence, including reviewing CCTV footage and interviewing witnesses.
The Majority Leader assured the public that the truth will be revealed once investigations are complete, urging residents to remain calm as the authorities work to restore order and accountability in the assembly.
