Former Prime Minister the late Honorable Raila Odinga is being laid to rest at his Rural home, Opodo farm, Bondo Siaya County.
Mourners are gathered in large numbers to bid farewell to their leaders who once brought change to the country through various reforms.
Well, as he is being laid to rest, details have emerged of how President William Ruto tried his best to save Raila’s life immediately.

Speaking to the Mourners in Siaya, ODM Deputy party leader Simba Arati has claimed that President William Ruto called him and informed him of the plans to airlift the late Raila Odinga from Kenya to India.
He prepared a private flight to India with other people who accompanied Raila for treatment. He then continued looking after him there until he lost his life there.
On October 2, 2025. Raila Odinga called me, he asked me to rush to his home in Nairobi. He asked me to give him my wife’s number because he wanted to get an overview of the treatment facilities in China. He then requested to talk to me again after leaving Malindi where he visited for two days. When he arrived back, Ruto said he cannot Gamble with his health and decided to chatter a plane for him to go to India for treatment.” Said Arati.
