However, her political realignments have hit an immediate roadblock. A section of Linda Mwananchi allies and opposition supporters have expressed severe reservations about welcoming the vocal Coast leader.
Their outrage has been reignited by a resurfaced 2022 campaign video in which Jumwa is seen enthusiastically singing and praising President Ruto while on the campaign trail in Malindi.
Critics within the Linda Mwananchi movement warn that Jumwa could be acting as a political mole aimed at undermining the opposition from within.
Skeptics point to her controversial history, recalling how she previously abandoned the late ODM leader Raila Odinga and the party despite Odinga having nurtured her career.
Opponents emphasize that during her time in UDA, she exhibited hostility toward the opposition, making her sudden change of heart hard to trust.
