Treasure CS John Mbadi Makes A Move That May Fix The Nation And Leave Gen Z Happy

For weeks in the country, Gen Z staged serious demonstrations that threatened the leadership of President William Ruto. It even reached a point when some people felt that Ruto may be forced to resign due to the pressure inserted on him by the Gen Z.

While that was the case, things did change when the Head of State reached out to opposition leader Raila Odinga, who return, who in return Sat down for talks in order to save the Nation.

Those talks resulted in a surprise move, as President William Ruto picked Raila Odinga’s men including John Mbadi and gave them Ministerial positions. Mbadi was confirmed as the new Treasury CS, a position that he accepted with open hands and from that time, he has been working tirelessly to ensure that he doesn’t disappoint his boss.

Today, John Mbadi dominated headlines as he made a big move that may fix the Nation’s tax issue and leave everyone happy, including the Gen Z. That is because Mbadi stated that he is working on reducing taxes. According to the new Treasury CS, VAT will drop from 16% to 14% while on the other wide, corporate tax will drop from 30% to 25%.

If that will happen, then the former ODM party chairperson will have solved a big problem. That is because many Kenyans have been complaining about the high taxes in the country. The Citizens have been calling on President William Ruto and his administration to fix the issue but nothing has been done so far.
