The late Beryl Odinga, Sister to the late Orange democratic Party leader Raila Odinga, Siaya County Senator Oburu Odinga and Kisumu County Woman representative Ruth Odinga passed away today at the Nairobi Hospital.
Her body has been moved to Lee Funeral Home for preservation. Family and friends are currently gathered at the funeral home.
Leaders including Kisumu County Woman representative Honorable Ruth Odinga have arrived at Lee Funeral Home to receive the body of the late Beryl Odinga from the Nairobi Hospital where she rested.
Suba North member of Parliament Honorable Millie Mabona was among the first leaders to arrive at the Lee Funeral Home to condole with the family of Jaramogi Odinga.

Beryl Odinga’s Life.
Beryl was a trailblazer in public service, famously becoming the first black Town Clerk of Mutare, Zimbabwe’s third-largest city, where she played a critical role in the city’s post-independence administration.
She also served as Company Secretary at the Housing Corporation of Zimbabwe before returning to Kenya, where she chaired the Nairobi Water and Sewerage Company, contributing significantly to public institutions.
Despite her low public profile compared to her famous family, Beryl was revered for her resilience, dedication, and pioneering spirit breaking racial barriers in Zimbabwe.
She was married to the late Edgar Tekere, a prominent Zimbabwean politician and liberation war hero.
