Sky Victor, the daughter of the late gospel musician Betty Bayo, has spoken out following growing speculation that she had parted ways with her stepfather, Tash.
The rumours began circulating shortly after Bayo’s burial a few days ago, when Sky changed the name of one of her social media accounts from “The Tash Family” to “Sky,” a move that sparked widespread discussion among Kenyans online.
In an interview with News Buzz, Sky dismissed claims of a strained relationship, calling for the public to allow her space to grieve and navigate her family dynamics privately. She emphasized that her bond with both her fathers remains intact.

Sky clarified that she holds equal love and respect for Tash—who was married to her late mother—and for her biological father, Pastor Victor Kanyari. She further noted that her decision to adjust her social media identity was personal and not reflective of any conflict within the family.
“People should let me be. I love both my dads equally, and nothing has changed,” she stated.
Her remarks come at a time when the family is still mourning the loss of the celebrated gospel artist, whose death shocked fans across the country.
