Tension remains high in Narok Town after a violent confrontation erupted during a meeting attended by former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
The incident occurred when a group of unidentified individuals, reportedly armed with crude weapons, stormed the gathering, causing panic among residents and attendees.
According to eyewitnesses, the attackers approached the meeting from one end of the town, forcing Gachagua and his team to retreat as chaos unfolded.

Women, children, and elderly residents were seen fleeing for safety as the confrontation escalated. However, youths allied to Gachagua swiftly intervened, repulsing the group and restoring a temporary sense of order.

Local residents say they are deeply concerned about the rising political hostilities ahead of the coming campaigns. Community members who spoke to the press pleaded with national and county security agencies to avoid being drawn into political battles. They emphasized that the police must remain neutral and prioritize public safety.
