The government of Kenya has been on receiving end fo explain why a section of Kenyans were not able to get treatment in hospitals despite registering under SHA. According to reports, some patients were being asked to pay cash money to get treatment, something that angered many.

Those who were depending on NHIF for procedures like dialysis failed to get those services despite shifting from NHIF. Well, the government has issued a statement explaining why it happened that way.

According to the acting CEO of SHA, the biometric claim System had a glitch forcing some hospital not to claim required amount. He promised to work on the issue so that all Kenyans can benefit from the new rollout health insurance cover.

Kenyans Concerns.

Asection of Kenyans have been asking questions which the ministry is yet to address. One of the critical equation is why they are receiving messages of migration and they have not agreed upon.

One individual wondered why another child was assigned to him by the system, a child that is not his and they have not met before.

“Why are we getting those messages from Sha and we have not migrated from NHIF. Who is responsible of our data protection. I never agreed to the move hence this is a total violation of our rights.”said Mark.
