The report of President William Ruto administration using former Mungiki boss Maina Njenga to mobilize the ground sparked mixed reactions leading to a response from State officials.
According to The Standard news paper shared today on Monday, March 31, 2024. Maina Njenga together with other people met at a hotel in preparation on how to receive the President of the republic of Kenya.
Well, the State House has responded to the report through its official X handle. Head of Presidential communication services Mr. Munyori Buku has denied any information that Mungiki is being mobilized to help Ruto navigate Mount Kenya region.
According to him, the standard newspaper team did not consult anyone before publishing the report and that it is doing everything to tarnish the government name and other involved officials.

He has continued by saying that the President and his Deputy engaged leaders from Mount Kenya region on his tour and together with other state officers have manpower to power the President to the mountain without the help of the Mungiki team or former leader.
Mr. Buku has also promised unknown legal consequences to the Media houses going forward. Well, let’s wait and see how things will play out.
