A fresh political storm has erupted within the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) after Oburu Odinga responded sharply to criticism from the party’s Secretary General Edwin Sifuna, who had earlier branded him a “mediocre” leader.
Speaking in response to remarks made during a parallel National Delegates Conference (NDC) in Nairobi, Sifuna accused Oburu of being part of efforts to destabilize a party he claimed was painstakingly built by the late Raila Odinga. His comments sparked debate within ODM ranks, exposing deepening divisions.
Oburu, however, appeared unfazed. In his response, he expressed surprise that Sifuna would issue such harsh criticism while still seeking to retain his influential position within the party.
