My name is Sarah, a married woman from Mbale, Uganda, and I want to share my story to encourage others who are facing conflicts with their in-laws. For a long time, I had a very difficult relationship with my husband’s family. No matter what I did, it always seemed like I was not accepted. Small issues would turn into big arguments, and there was constant tension whenever we met. This created a lot of stress in my marriage.
As time went on, the situation became worse. My in-laws would interfere in our decisions, misunderstand me, and sometimes even speak negatively about me to my husband. This caused frequent arguments between me and my husband, and our relationship started becoming unstable.
