NAIROBI, Kenya — Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader and Siaya Senator, Dr. Oburu Oginga, has put days of intense health speculation to rest after hosting a high-profile political delegation at his Nairobi home.
The meeting comes following rumors that the veteran politician was admitted to the hospital in critical condition. Dismissing the alarmist reports, Dr. Oburu appeared in good spirits to welcome key lawmakers and political allies.

The delegation included Senate Energy Committee Chairperson William Kisang, Vice-Chairperson Beatrice Ogolla, and former Rarieda Member of Parliament Nicholas Gumbo. The leaders visited the ODM chief to express solidarity, extend their warmest wishes, and offer encouragement for his ongoing recovery.
Addressing the recent reports surrounding his well-being, Dr. Oburu clarified that his recent hospital visit was simply a brief routine check-up, emphasizing that he had already returned home to rest.
“Being sick is a normal human experience and should not alarm anyone,” Dr. Oburu stated, reassuring supporters. “The day I am truly sick, I will inform you all, for I am a very transparent person.”
During the visit, the delegation shared light moments with the party leader, conveying messages of goodwill on behalf of their respective institutions and political party colleagues.
