
Kenyans are still waiting for answers to what really happened during President Uhuru Kenyatta’s regime where bodies were found in River Yala. The families of those killed and found at Yala are still crying for justice. They are still demanding for an explanation of what happened to their loved ones.
There were debates of the possibility of Kenya having a hit team within the government that conducted the abductions and killings.

Dr. Fred Matiang’i was then interior Cabinet Secretary, questions were directed at him and he has finally told Kenyans what he did when the bodies started popping up at river Yala.
According to him, he sent inspector general of Police to the area where the bodies were being picked in Yala and later demanded for a public inquest.
He claimed that, through the inquest, Kenyans will get to know the truth. He finished his statement by declaring he is ready to testify during the inquest so that the truth can come out and those who Lost their loved ones can get closure.
