Deputy President Professor Kithure Kindiki is currently in government and Dr. Fred Matiang’i is in opposition. A few weeks ago, Matiang’i was at Wamunyoro, a home of former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua who is currently playing a crucial role in the opposition team.
Well, many Kenyans expected Matiang’i to fire salvos at the government including all its officials. However, he had a soft spot for Professor Kithure Kindiki leaving Kenyans asking questions.

He claimed that in 2023 after leaving office, his passport was taken and the only person who came to his aid with a clear explanation of what was happening was professor Kindiki who is serving now as Deputy President and was interior Cabinet Secretary at that time.
“Dr Fred Matiang’i: When you wake up and find your passport details exposed to the public and claims of you running away, what can be more humiliating? I am very grateful to Prof Kindiki who was my immediate successor in the ministry of Interior. He is the only one who expressed himself in a manner that was humane .” Report.
