The Kenyan constitution guarantees a two five year term for the President. Whoever is elected is supposed to serve for the first five year term, then seek for a re-election in the last term.
Since the formation of the new constitution in 2010. Kenyans have only witnessed two Presidents, President Uhuru Kenyatta who was elected to office in 2013 and President William Ruto who took over in 2022.
Well, according to an ODM party legislator, there is no need to have a term limit for the presidents. If something is working, then, whoever in the office should just be allowed to serve until Kenyans are tired.
