A cloud of grief has engulfed Richard Onyonka following the death of his beloved mother, Mama Teresia Nyaboke Omoke. According to an official press statement from the Senator’s office dated April 29, 2026, Nyaboke passed away earlier today at the age of 81 while receiving treatment at Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi.
In the statement, Senator Onyonka described his mother as a devoted parent and a pillar of strength to their family. Born on December 25, 1944, Mama Nyaboke lived a life marked by deep faith, humility, and unwavering dedication to both her family and the wider community.
The Senator noted that her life was grounded in compassion, service, and wisdom—values that shaped not only her family but also those who interacted with her.
