The planned radio interview featuring Edwin Sifuna on Radio Jambo has been abruptly canceled, according to an update shared by the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Secretary General on his social media platforms.
In a statement posted online, Sifuna revealed that he received an official communication from the station informing him that the highly anticipated morning interview would no longer proceed as scheduled.
The message, sent by a producer at the station, cited “unavoidable circumstances” as the reason behind the cancellation. The communication also conveyed an apology for any inconvenience caused.
Sifuna, who has recently been at the center of political debates within Orange Democratic Movement, expressed regret to his supporters who had been eagerly waiting to tune in.
He acknowledged the disappointment and assured his audience that he remains committed to engaging them through other available platforms.

The canceled interview comes at a time when the Nairobi Senator has been actively spearheading the “Linda Mwananchi” initiative—a political movement that has been gaining traction across various regions.
The campaign is aimed at mobilizing public support ahead of the 2027 general elections, with calls for significant political change, including opposition to President William Ruto’s administration.
Just last week, Sifuna drew large crowds during a rally in Kisumu, further solidifying his influence within ODM’s grassroots mobilization efforts.
His remarks during the event sparked widespread discussion, particularly regarding his perceived alignment with the legacy and political direction associated with Raila Odinga.
While the reasons behind the cancellation remain undisclosed beyond the official explanation, the development has stirred reactions among political observers and supporters alike, many of whom were keen to hear Sifuna’s stance on the unfolding dynamics within the party and the broader national political landscape.
