The country has once again been plunged into mourning following the death of another former Member of Parliament, even as Kenyans are still grappling with the loss of former Lugari MP Honorable Cyrus Jirongo.
The back-to-back deaths of senior political figures have cast a sombre mood across the nation, with many expressing grief and concern over the loss of leaders who played key roles in Kenya’s political history.
According to information reaching newsrooms, Dr. Enock Kibunguchy, the immediate former Member of Parliament for Likuyani Constituency, has passed away while receiving treatment at a hospital in Eldoret City.
Family sources indicate that Dr. Kibunguchy died after a period of illness, although further details surrounding his condition were not immediately disclosed.
Dr. Kibunguchy was a seasoned politician and a respected leader in Western Kenya. He succeeded the late Cyrus Jirongo as Lugari MP before the constituency was later split into Lugari and Likuyani constituencies.

During his political career, Dr. Kibunguchy served three terms in Parliament. He first served between 2002 and 2007, returned to Parliament from 2013 to 2017, and was re-elected for a third term from 2017 to 2022.
