Is Otiende Amollo Joining Sifuna? His Statement Sparks Mixed Reactions (Video)
Speculation has emerged over a possible political alignment between Rarieda Member of Parliament Otiende Amollo and Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna after remarks made during a public event in Siaya County.
The senior counsel, while addressing residents, questioned the decision to remove Sifuna as Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Secretary General, arguing that internal disagreements could have been resolved through dialogue rather than dismissal.
Amollo suggested that it was “not logical” to push Sifuna out of the party position, adding that leaders within ODM should have sat down and reconciled their differences.

His comments have since triggered political debate, with some interpreting them as a sign of growing internal rifts within the party.
He further pointed fingers at Siaya Senator Oburu Odinga, implying that the handling of the matter was politically misguided.
The remarks have fueled speculation online about whether Amollo could be edging closer to a reformist alliance involving Sifuna and Embakasi East MP Babu Owino, who have in recent months been linked to the informal “Linda Mwanainchi” faction.
However, Amollo did not confirm any political realignment, leaving observers divided over his true intentions.
The remarks, captured in a widely circulated video, have continued to generate mixed reactions among ODM supporters and political analysts.
