The late Hon Raila Odinga had tried severally to win the general elections in the Republic of Kenya but to no avail. But it has emerged that he was always rigged out.
Former Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria has made startling revelations regarding past general elections, asserting that deliberate schemes were executed to manipulate the outcomes of the 2013 and 2017 presidential contests to favor former President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Speaking during a TV interview on Citizen TV, Kuria stated that the 2013 election was heading toward a mandatory second-round runoff between Kenyatta and opposition leader Raila Odinga.
To avert a runoff, Kuria explained that a strategic legal petition was launched regarding the formula used to calculate rejected ballots.
By successfully mounting a court battle to exclude rejected votes from the total tally used to calculate the required fifty-percent-plus-one threshold, the legal team effectively secured Kenyatta an absolute majority, preventing Odinga from taking the race to a second ballot.
Beyond the judicial challenge, Kuria made damning accusations regarding the technical integrity of the electoral commission.
He claimed that direct administrative and technological interference occurred within the servers of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission.
According to the former lawmaker, data inside the election servers was directly altered to ensure the official result favored the incumbent coalition and systematically denied Odinga a path to victory.
Implicating key political allies in the coordinated operation, Kuria named several senior government officials and political figures as active participants.
He highlighted the involvement of current Transport Cabinet Secretary Davis Chirchir in executing technical maneuvers on the electoral servers.
Additionally, Kuria cited Head of Presidential Special Projects Dennis Itumbi, Baringo Woman Representative Florence Jematiah, and veteran legal counsel Fred Ngatia and Njoroge Regeru as instrumental figures in coordinating the legal strategies surrounding the contested ballots.
The explosive claims serve as a direct response to recent assertions by former President Kenyatta questioning the legitimacy of subsequent general elections.
