The second Deputy President of the republic of Kenya Rigathi Gachagua has been on an offensive campaign targeting President William Ruto. His target is to send Ruto home come 2027. While speaking at his Wamunyoro home on the weekend, Gachagua maintained that Ruto must go for a better country and development.
Well, according to the latest report, it seems like things are falling apart for Gachagua. It is reported that one of his trusted allies has dumped him.

The report was cited by NTV Kenya on may 7,2025. Former Nyeri Town member of Parliament Ngunjiri Wambugu has dumped Gachagua camp and now has rejoined the Jubilee party. Additionally, he has predicted victory for President William Ruto.
Wambugu has claimed that the rage that Mount Kenya region had last year immediately post impeachment was high. However, things are changing quickly as new down is witnessed as people are now forgiving Ruto.
Wambugu’s move has left Kenyans asking questions on the possiblity of other leaders dumping Gachagua for Ruto or Uhuru Ahead of elections.
Despite the setback, Gachagua has been receiving more delegates at his Wamunyoro home in preparation for the election in 2027.
