Trans Nzoia Senator Allan Chesang has finally broken his silence on claims linking him to an alleged impeachment plot against Governor George Natembeya following a recent meeting between Trans Nzoia County leaders and President William Ruto.
The meeting, which took place at the Eldoret State Lounge a few days ago, brought together Members of the County Assembly (MCAs) and national government leaders to discuss development priorities and cooperation between the county and the national government.
Addressing residents during a public event in Trans Nzoia, Senator Chesang categorically dismissed reports that the impeachment of Governor Natembeya was discussed during the meeting with President Ruto.
According to Chesang, the agenda strictly focused on areas of collaboration aimed at accelerating development projects and improving service delivery to the people of Trans Nzoia County.

The senator also refuted claims made by Sikhendu MCA, who alleged that Chesang and Kiminini Member of Parliament Hon. Kakai Kubasu had “snitched” to President Ruto about Governor Natembeya.
Chesang termed the accusations as misleading and politically motivated, insisting that he has no time for personal politics or schemes against individuals.
“I am a focused leader. My priority is development and ensuring that the people of Trans Nzoia benefit from both county and national government projects,” Chesang said.
He emphasized that his leadership is anchored on unity, progress, and tangible results rather than political wrangles.
Further, Senator Chesang urged residents to remain vigilant and discerning when it comes to leadership. He called on voters to elect leaders who are committed to development, accountability, and the interests of the people, rather than those driven by propaganda and division.
The remarks come amid heightened political tension in Trans Nzoia, with speculation rife over relations between county leaders and the national government. Chesang’s clarification is expected to calm the political temperature and refocus attention on development and service delivery.
