Activist Hanifer Releases Detailed Audit Report on Shillings Used to Aid Injured Generation Z Protesters

Renowned activist Hanifer has released a highly anticipated audit report. The report details the utilization of over 31 million Kenyan shillings. The funds were raised to support youth injured during the Generation Z protests.

Hanifer expressed her deep gratitude to those who contributed to the cause.The funds, totaling Ksh 31,663,580, were collected through an Mchanga account named “Care for the Injured.”

Hanifer had initially set a target of 10 million shillings. The overwhelming response exceeded her expectations, reflecting the generosity of Kenyans and people of goodwill.

Her Statement.

In her statement, Hanifer extended special thanks to the Mchanga team. She emphasized that she had no direct access to the funds, which were managed by Mchanga in their Ecobank account.

The team ensured all payments were made directly from this account. Hanifer lauded Mchanga’s professionalism, acknowledging that their role was crucial in the transparent management of the funds.Hanifer also acknowledged the contributions of key individuals and organizations.

She praised Dr. Umar at Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) for his tireless efforts in treating the injured. Hanifer also thanked Nickson from Malipo Centre, Wilma, and social workers led by NasNandha.

Their collective efforts helped in managing the numerous cases that arose during the protests.The audit report revealed that the funds supported 208 beneficiaries.

These included 62 families of deceased individuals and 146 injured protesters. The report detailed how the funds were used to pay hospital bills, funeral expenses, and other related costs.

Hanifer expressed deep sorrow over the loss of life and the severe injuries sustained by the protesters.Hanifer admitted that the emotional toll of managing the funds was overwhelming.

She expressed regret for any mistakes made during the process and apologized to anyone she may have offended. The experience left her deeply affected, and she struggled with the traumatic experiences witnessed in hospitals, funerals, and morgues.

Despite the challenges, Hanifer reiterated her commitment to supporting those affected by the protests. She expressed a willingness to undertake the responsibility again if necessary, to ensure no one was left behind.

The audit report serves as a transparent record of the funds’ usage. It shows the impact they had on the lives of those affected. Hanifer concluded her statement with heartfelt gratitude to all those who contributed.

She promised to answer any questions regarding the audit report, ensuring transparency and accountability in the entire process.
