According to him, there are some people who have made it a business of the day to loot public resources and leave Kenyans suffering.
” As a person with integrity and accountability. I want to apologize to my people for failing them. I did not manage to stop corruption and that was not something I am proud of” said Gachagua.
He also asked for forgiveness from Mount Kenya region for failing to give them a solid plan in the 2022 general election. Something that has led to tension and poor leadership in a region that was once strongly united.
Gachagua campaigned heavily against President Uhuru Kenyatta. He publicly attacked him In rallies and even attacked his mother. Prior to political life, he served as Uhuru Kenyatta aid.
