Deputy President Kithure Kindiki and former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua are locking horns in the Mount Kenya region.
They have for the second day camped at Mbeere North ahead of the November 27, 2025 by-election. If Gachagua wins, he will stamp authority as the regional kingpin.
Something that Kindiki is not ready to allow. Kindiki is defending his position as the second in command and losing the seat to the United opposition will be a blow to his chances of being picked as the second in command again.

Well, according to the video in our possession. Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has warned Gachagua to stop attacking Embu County governor Her Excellency Cecily Mbarire.
According to Kindiki, it is immoral for a leader to be so vile and throw tantrums at the elected leaders instead of pushing a national agenda.
Kindiki has promised to do everything to deliver the seat to the Kenya Kwanza administration under the leadership of the United Democratic party.
He has maintained that, he will stay in Embu for all ten Days until the election day. He will then leave with Wamudhende to the national assembly where he will be sworn in as the Member of Parliament for Mbeere North.
Gachagua’s Sentiment On Cecily Mbarire.
According to Gachagua, President William Ruto is using her to divide the people of Mount Kenya region ahead of the 2027 general election. He asked the people of Embu County to throw he out of office in the 2027 general election and elect someone who is pro people and not serving Ruto.
