Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has outlined what he believes is the winning formula for Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka ahead of the 2027 General Election.
In a video that has since circulated widely online, Gachagua addressed residents of the Ukambani region, urging them to take an active role in shaping the country’s political future.
Speaking during a burial ceremony attended by several leaders from the United Opposition, Gachagua told the Kamba community that their strength lies in numbers and unity.
He argued that Ukambani has the potential to decisively influence the presidential race if residents turn out in large numbers during voter registration and on election day.

According to Gachagua, the region should target registering and mobilising more than four million voters. He claimed that such a turnout would give Kalonzo Musyoka a significant numerical advantage, making it possible to defeat President William Ruto by a wide margin in 2027.
Gachagua stressed that political change begins with civic participation, starting with acquiring national identity cards and registering as voters.
The former deputy president also called on opposition leaders to remain united and avoid internal divisions that could weaken their chances.
His remarks have sparked debate, with supporters viewing them as strategic advice, while critics see them as early campaign rhetoric. As the 2027 race slowly takes shape, voter mobilisation is already emerging as a key battleground.
