Kenyans have been left in shock after a disturbing video circulated online showing a sitting Member of Parliament storming a hotel and assaulting a man believed to be his political critic.
The incident, captured on CCTV and shared widely across social media platforms, occurred on Thursday, 27th November 2025.
According to eyewitnesses, Hon. Anthony Kibagendi entered the restaurant dressed in a black jacket and a face mask, seemingly determined and moving with precision.
Moments later, he approached Enock Omariba Moriasi who was seated alone and began to physically assault him without uttering a word. Restaurant staff and patrons watched in disbelief as the confrontation unfolded.

The motive behind the attack remains unclear, but many online users have linked the incident to the recently concluded Nyamira County by-elections.
Omariba is said to have openly supported candidates from the United Democratic Party (UDP), while Kibagendi has been perceived to align himself with the United Opposition faction. This political tension has fueled speculation that the assault may have been politically motivated.
Authorities have yet to issue an official statement, and it remains unknown whether Omariba has filed a formal complaint.
Meanwhile, the footage continues to spark heated debate, with many Kenyans calling for swift action and condemning violence among political leaders.
