President William Ruto encountered a hostile reception from residents during his development tour in Kisumu.

The clip captures a tense moment. The crowd, predominantly composed of young people, shouted down the President. They expressed their frustration over the perceived lack of progress on past promises.
The atmosphere was charged, with the youths showing little patience for Ruto’s attempts to engage with them.
President Ruto was accompanied by Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua. Several cabinet secretaries were also with him, including those from the ODM party. Ruto appointed them following widespread protests from Generation Z.
The protests, which had demanded more inclusive leadership, seemingly influenced the President’s decision to incorporate opposition figures into his administration
