For months now, many of President William Ruto’s allies have been claiming that their leader will be in power for two terms. In fact, some of them have been crossing the lane as they have been claiming that the presidential term limit may be increased so that Ruto can go beyond the ten years.
Well, while that is the case, today things were not good on Ruto’s side as his allies woke up to worrying news.
As reported by the Nation Newspaper, it is alleged that former President Uhuru Kenyatta is planning to support former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i for President in the 2027 general election.
That comes just weeks after Ruto visited Uhuru and it was claimed that they had agreed to work together. Ruto even went ahead to nominate some of Uhuru’s allies into his cabinet but as things seem to be, he may not get Uhuru’s support in 2027.
