After their famous handshake back then in 2018, former President Uhuru Kenyatta and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga have been having a good political relationship. In fact, Baba even claimed recently that Uhuru was well aware when he joined Ruto’s government in a broad based government.
Well, while that is the case, today business was not as usual as Uhuru Kenyatta was publicly roughed up by Raila Odinga’s man.
Through his official X account, Philip Etale who is Raila Odinga’s close ally and ODM party Communication Director claimed that it was improper for former President Uhuru Kenyatta to tell Gen Z to fight for their rights. According to Etale, Uhuru’s remarks were not a sign of Nationalism but they were words of separatism.
That comes just a day after Uhuru made those remarks as he dropped a strong statement to the young generation in the country. He even urged his own daughter Ngina Kenyatta to join in the movement and fight bad leadership.
