The members of Parliament are currently attending a mass for the slain member of Parliament Charles Were. In attendance is speaker Moses Wetangula, Homabay County governor Gladys Wanga, Tindi Mwale and Millie Odhiambo.
There was a brief drama. The father conducting the mass stopped the process. He demanded one thing to be done before continuing with the mass.
He got angry when the mourners crowded the corridors and constantly walking up and down as the continued with service. He claimed that it was not a common function but rather a funeral of a leader that needed respect.
He possed for almost ten minutes until his demands were approved. Speaker Moses Wetangula and other leaders could only watch as things unfolded dramatically.
” Those standing in corridors should leave immediate. Kindly give space there for those coming in. And please stop walking up and down. It is now good to do that in a church. Let us all respect the dead and the house of God. ” Said the father.
