For more than two hours. Kenyans took to various social media platforms to protest a move by Olympics officials to disqualify 1500M World record holder Faith Kipyegon.
Kipyegon was disqualified briefly for allegedly colliding with Ethiopian athlete during 5000M race, a race that she had claimed silver medal.
The decision to disqualify her and award Netherlands based athlete Hassan her silver medal prompted Kenya officials to file for appeal, which they successfully won.
