There was a chaotic scenery in Kasarani Stadium, Nairobi during the arrival of Orange democratic Party leader Honorable Raila Odinga’s body for viewing. Kenyans Stormed the venue in masses forcing police officers to lobby teargas. This led to some injuries at the Stadium.
Well, Kenyans were allowed to view the body in the evening amidst tight security from the military in conjunction with regular Police officers.
After the tension, the government of President William Ruto has finally bowed to pressure and has announced that the country will have another opportunity to view Raila’s remains at Nyayo stadium from 12Pm on October 18, 2025.

Speaking at his Karen home, the Deputy President Kithure Kindiki who is also the co-chair of the funeral committee handling the final journey of Orange democratic Party leader.
He claimed that after the requiem mass, Kenyans will be given an opportunity to view the body until the time they will deem enough.
Raila Odinga will be laid to rest on October 19, 2027 at his home in Siaya County. The event will be private as per the information given by his brother Oburu Odinga.
