Kenyan youths took to the streets today to commemorate their friends who were killed last year during finance bill agitation. Over sixty youths lost their lives after invading Parliament and others trying to take on police officers.
President William Ruto in his speech last year acknowledged the grievances addressed by youths and promised to work on them. He even dissolved his cabinet before bringing others back, something that angered a section of Kenyans.
Well, today on June 25, 2025. Youths decided to protest again as they commemorate. Nairobi County has been turned into a battle ground with Police engaging in running battles with youths armed with stones. They are threatening to occupy state house and their call for change has intensified.
