
Revealed: Why Uasin Gishu Deputy Governor Resigned
Uasin Gishu County Deputy Governor, Engineer John Barorot has announce his resignation effective immediately.
According to sources close to Barorot, his decision was arrived at, after wide consultation from various leaders within the county and at the national level.
His decision was driven by inability to work with the current governor whom they were elected together during 2022 election.

Speaking at Eka Hotel within Eldoret Town. Engineer John Barorot claimed that his decision to leave is purely on policy difference.
This is coming just a week after he dismissed resignation claims. He missed various county functions including recent event conducted by president William Ruto on elevation of the town to a city.
Deputy Governor Engineer John Barorot has become the second deputy Governor to resign in the republic of Kenya. The first person was Nairobi county deputy governor Polycarp Igathe who resigned as Sonko deputy.
Igathe cited policy differences as key reason of his resignation. Well, let’s wait and see what things play out in new City headquarters.
