Speaking in Kilifi county during a development tour. President William Ruto set record straight on reappointing Aisha Jumwa to his administration days after firing her from the cabinet.
He claimed that, Aisha Jumwa is his sister who sacrificed everything to make sure he clinches the top seat and that he will do everything in his power to stand with her. This is an indication that the head of state might not necessarily reappoint Jumwa to the cabinet but she will surely get a better position within Kenya Kwanza administration.
This is coming just days after Kilifi residents allied to Aisha Jumwa staged a protest calling on Ruto to consider Aisha to his government for the work she put in to form the administration.
President Ruto appointed some names from opposition leaders sparking mixed reaction among Kenyans. Youths who went to the streets are yet to heal from the disappointing gesture from Ruto. They are claiming he abandoned them and instead of listening to their grievances, he is regrouping and saving political class.
More than fifty youths lost their lives on the streets fighting for accountability and good governance. They even attacked the parliament forcing member of Parliament to flee after passing finance bill 2024.
Well, let’s wait and see what things plays out.
