Lady Justice Martha Koome leadership is under scrutiny after latest development from the courts. According to the petitioner, Chief Justice Koome should leave office with immediate effect.
The petitioner who is being represented by advocate Christopher Rosana has listed various grounds for her removal. One of the key reasons is her decision to ban Lawyer senior counsel Ahmednasir from appearing at supreme Court cases.
She also banned his associates in the law firm. They are prohibited from appearing in Supreme Court cases after Ahmednasir attacked her online.
The petitioner is claiming that. She was seated on the same bench with six other Supreme Court judges. This occurred in a case that involved her, which was against the law.
“She agreed with the rest of the bench to ban Ahmednasir in a case she’s involved in. This was a gross violation of office.” Quoted the petitioner.
She is also accused of embarrassing the judiciary over her actions that led to change of hierarchy. After the banning of Ahmednasir, they were sued at high court. The decision that has been cited as confusion since supreme Court decision should be final in legal hierarchy.

Kuria has been in the spotlight for his controversial remarks and policies. These have drawn both support and criticism from various quarters.
However, Gachagua’s statement seems aimed at reminding him and others that setbacks are not the end of the road.In a show of solidarity, Gachagua emphasized the importance of faith and resilience in overcoming challenges.
His message reflects a common belief that when one door closes, another opens, offering new possibilities.
The Deputy President’s words are likely to resonate with many who are going through tough times. These words remind them to stay hopeful and trust in God’s plan.
The Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has elicited mixed reactions online after alleging how President William Ruto is tactically dividing Mount Kenya region ahead of the next general election.
Speaking at an interview with a local television station, Inooro, the former second in command made it clear that he will not allow division that is well coordinated to continue.
According to Gachagua, President William Ruto has deployed people like Moses Kuria to cause confusion within the Mount Kenya region. The main agenda is to use him to divide the region and eventually run back to him and get an appointment.
He used Mbeere North by election as an example. According to Gachagua, the President deployed Kuria to field a candidate there. This candidate will help divide votes in favour of United Democratic party.
Gachagua called on Mount Kenya region to observe what is happening keenly and judge themselves. This will help them to make the right decision come the right time, 2027 general election.
For years, Musalia Mudavadi and speaker Moses Wetangula have enjoyed good support from the Western region. They have been threatening to vie for the top seat for a while now leaving Kenyans asking questions.
In 2013, the duo announced plans to run for the top seat. They consolidated the region but in the end, they ended up working with Raila Odinga under the CORD coalition.
In 2022, they also declared interest to run for the top seat only to Join Ruto in the Kenya Kwanza administration.
Well, Tranzoia County governor His Excellency George Natembeya seems to be tired of the duo dominating western region without necessarily matching the development protects.
According to Natembeya, starting this week, he is going to kickstart meetings with different people across the region. He will be meeting village elders from Vihiga County, elders who paid him a visit in Tranzoia last week.
He promised to meet different people in large numbers and convince them to remain United so that the region can get good deals in the government through strong negotiations.
With natembeya’s statement, Wetangula and Musalia Mudavadi will have to move with speed and fix their political backyard before it is too late for that.
Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua was put to task to explain why he is always mentioning President William Ruto in almost all his conversations instead of focusing on the agenda that can help Kenyans move forward.
Speaking during the interview on Inooro TV, the former Deputy President lost his cool and responded almost immediately leaving Kenyans talking.
According to Gachagua, there is no way he is going to tone down on attacking President William Ruto and his entire Kenya Kwanza administration. This is because he is forcing Kenyans to do things that they are not happy to do. Things like taking their money in the name of House levy funds.
Gachagua continued by insisting that. People are condemning Satan on a daily basis. They have never stopped because they condemned him the day before.
He therefore maintained that, he is just starting. More will come as we approach the next general election. His main agenda is to see Kenyans happy and that will happen when Ruto is out of office.
Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua is turning out to be the most fierce critic of President William Ruto and his Kenya Kwanza Administration. Since he was removed from office, Gachagua has been moving from one region to another pleading with Kenyans to send Ruto home.
He has been visiting radio stations and TV stations mainly domiciled in the Mount Kenya region with a message to his people. ” Do not reelect Ruto”
Well, today on September 21, 2025. Gachagua while appearing on Inoro TV station revealed how he avoided Ruto’s trap after leaving the USA.
Account to Gachagua, the government of President William Ruto had set a trap for him to field a candidate in Mbeere North. After analyzing the ground, he arrived at the solution, it was better for them to field a single candidate who will not give Ruto and his team a chance to thrive in by-election.
” When I left the United States of America, many people within the government expected me to Field a candidate in Mbeere North. After thinking critically, I noticed it was a trap. The only way we were going to win this election is by going in as a United opposition. That is the way you see them fighting me now.” Said Gachagua.
A football game turned into a battle ground for Kenyans and Police officers who came armed to teeth. From the video shared online, all was well until those who attended a football game between Kenyan reigning giants Gormahia and Bidco United turned violent.
A section of the supporters wanted to enter the pitch without the tickets. During the commotion, police were forced to lobby teargas leading to a chaotic scene. No one has been reported to have been injured in the commotion.
Kenyans have been asked to be keen and Shay away from goonism during the matches. This could lead to the international community not allowing Kenya to host international tournaments just like the recent CHAN tournament.
Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has left Kenyans talking online after his unexpected move in his backyard. According to the video seen online, the second in command arrived at a church service in style.
Kindiki is one of the few people who are highly protected in the country. When he moves from one region to another, he is usually seen with elite guards next to him. However, today, the second in command was seen driving himself from his home to the church without bodyguards.
This has been interpreted to be a political move of relating with the residents. Those who were at the church hailed him as a humble person, down to earth leader who is willing to sacrifice everything to save his people.
However, others have cautioned him against moving in such a manner claiming it is risky for the second in command to move that way.

Malava, Kakamega County – September 20, 2025, marked a decisive day for the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) as the party officially nominated Honorable Arthur Ndakwa as its candidate in the upcoming Malava constituency by-election. The nomination followed a competitive party primary that saw Ryan Injendi, the son of the late Malava MP Malulu Injendi, concede defeat.
While Ryan gracefully accepted the results on the surface, fresh controversy has erupted after his family accused Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi of meddling in the outcome. In a video circulating online, the Injendi family alleged that Mudavadi used his political influence to edge out Ryan, claiming this was not the first time he had undermined the Injendi family’s political ambitions.
According to the family, Mudavadi employed a similar strategy in 2013, when the late Malulu Injendi was denied a party ticket and was forced to contest as an independent candidate. Despite the setback, Malulu triumphed in that election and went on to serve as Malava MP, cementing his influence in the region.
“History is repeating itself,” one family member lamented in the video. “Musalia denied Malulu a chance in 2013, and now he has ensured Ryan is pushed out of UDA. This is political betrayal.”
Ryan, who lost the UDA ticket to Ndakwa, expressed frustration over the alleged interference but maintained that his fight was far from over. “I have conceded defeat in this primary, but let it be known that the time will come when I will fight back,” he declared. His remarks have fueled speculation that he may explore other political options, including vying as an independent candidate, much like his late father.
The development has triggered sharp debate in Kakamega County, with some residents accusing Mudavadi of dictatorial tendencies while others defended him as a seasoned political strategist protecting his allies.
On the other hand, UDA leadership maintained that the primaries were free and fair, urging all contestants to rally behind Ndakwa to secure the seat for the ruling coalition.
As the Malava by-election gears up, the battle lines are already drawn, with Arthur Ndakwa carrying UDA’s flag and Ryan Injendi’s next move likely to shape the political dynamics of the constituency.
Political temperatures are rising in Tranzoia County. Despite the 2027 general election being two years ahead, fist fights have started among supporters of political elites.
The game of who is who in Tranzoia is getting out of hand as people are now hunting each other physically with an intention of harming each other.
According to the video shared to us, Former Kiminini member of Parliament Honorable Chris Wamalwa was forced to draw his weapon to disperse the angry supporters allied to speaker Moses Wetangula.
The angry goons arrived at the alcohol joint armed with crude weapons ready to take on Mr. Pepela who was in the company of Honorable Wamalwa. He was accused of abusing Speaker Moses Wetangula and that warranted his flogging.
Honorable Wamalwa managed to drive the goons out of the alcohol joint leaving revellers terrified.
President William Ruto has ignited a fresh storm in Kenya’s political arena after openly criticizing Wiper Party leader Hon. Kalonzo Musyoka during a visit to Machakos County, Eastern region.
Speaking in a region widely considered Kalonzo’s political stronghold, the Head of State accused the former vice president of leading the area down what he termed as “a wrong political direction rooted in tribal politics.”
In a strongly worded address, President Ruto contrasted the Eastern region with Nyanza, which has traditionally been an opposition zone.
He noted that Nyanza is currently enjoying increased development projects, attributing this to the willingness of its leaders to work closely with his Kenya Kwanza administration.
“Development follows partnership,” Ruto said in the viral video. “When leaders come together and support the government of the day, their regions benefit. Nyanza is a clear example of what happens when we put aside politics and work for progress.”
The President urged local leaders to set aside political affiliations and collaborate with his administration for the greater good of their communities. He warned that persisting with tribal-based politics would deny residents the benefits of national development programs.
However, Ruto’s remarks have sparked sharp reactions across the country. A section of Kenyans, particularly on social media, has questioned the fairness of his comments, arguing that development should not be tied to political loyalty.
Many demanded clarification on whether the President’s statement implied that only regions aligned with his government would receive development, while opposition strongholds risked neglect.
“Development is a constitutional right, not a political gift,” one commentator wrote online. “The President swore to serve all Kenyans equally, regardless of who they voted for.”
Others defended Ruto, suggesting his message was more of a political strategy aimed at encouraging unity and cooperation rather than an actual policy of discrimination.

They argued that his call for collaboration was in line with his broader “bottom-up” economic model, which relies heavily on partnerships between national and local leadership.
Kalonzo Musyoka has yet to respond directly to the President’s remarks, but his allies in the Azimio la Umoja coalition have condemned the statement as divisive and discriminatory.
Makueni Senator Dan Maanzo accused the Head of State of attempting to blackmail regions into political submission, warning that such rhetoric could deepen mistrust between government and opposition supporters.
“The President should be the symbol of national unity,” Maanzo said. “Threatening communities with development denial unless they support him politically is a dangerous path.”
The debate comes at a time when the Kenya Kwanza government is keen on consolidating national support ahead of the 2027 elections. Eastern region remains a battleground, with Kalonzo positioning himself as a key opposition figure and potential presidential candidate.
As the controversy continues to dominate public discourse, the remarks have reignited questions about Kenya’s longstanding debate over the politicization of development projects.
For many citizens, the central concern remains whether government resources are being equitably distributed — or whether political loyalty is becoming the new currency for progress.
Former Kakamega County Senator and Democracy For The Citizens Party (DCP) Deputy Party Leader, Hon. Cleophas Wakhungu Malalah, has sharply responded to President William Ruto’s aide, Farouk Kibet, over his remarks dismissing the Opposition’s 2027 presidential plans.
Speaking during a women empowerment program, Farouk Kibet mocked the Opposition, claiming it lacked a credible candidate to face President Ruto in the upcoming general election.
According to Kibet, the Opposition was disorganized and “full of unfocused people.” He further ridiculed statements attributed to some Opposition figures suggesting that even if they fielded a goat against Ruto, it would still defeat him. Kibet described such comments as proof that the Opposition was directionless and detached from reality.
However, Malalah was quick to fire back, accusing Kibet and the Kenya Kwanza administration of ignoring the frustrations of ordinary Kenyans.
According to the former Kakamega Senator, Kibet’s remarks reveal a leadership out of touch with the suffering majority. Malalah insisted that the sentiment about Kenyans voting for “anything, even a goat,” was not about a lack of focus in the Opposition but rather a reflection of deep dissatisfaction with President Ruto’s leadership.
“It is not just the Opposition speaking, it is the voice of Kenyans who feel betrayed and abandoned by this administration. The people are tired of President Ruto’s unfulfilled promises and skyrocketing cost of living. That is why they say they are ready to vote in anything, as long as it removes him from power,” Malalah said in his rejoinder.
The DCP Deputy Party Leader went further to warn President Ruto against underestimating public anger, saying that the 2027 election could easily turn him into a one-term president. He reminded the Head of State that discontent is spreading beyond party lines, cutting across the political divide and uniting Kenyans in their desire for change.
“President Ruto must understand that Kenyans are not just criticizing him for political reasons. It is not Azimio, DAP, DCP, Jubilee, or any other party making noise. It is the entire country demanding accountability, service delivery, and dignity. If he ignores these voices, he risks becoming the first one-term president under the new constitution,” Malalah cautioned.
He also accused Ruto of entrenching corruption within State House, arguing that frequent political meetings with loyalists had done little to address the real challenges facing citizens.
According to Malalah, the government is spending valuable time consolidating power and rewarding cronies instead of tackling inflation, unemployment, and the high cost of basic commodities.
“Instead of using State House as a breeding ground for endless political schemes, the President should be working on stopping corruption and addressing the plight of Kenyans. Kenyans are angry because corruption continues to flourish under his watch, and nothing is being done to protect public resources,” Malalah added.
The former Senator’s remarks highlight growing tension between government allies and the Opposition, as the 2027 elections slowly creep into the political conversation.
For the Opposition, the debate around its presidential candidate remains ongoing, with various leaders insisting that the issue will be settled closer to the polls.
However, Malalah’s counterattack underscores a broader narrative that the election will not necessarily be about personalities but rather about Kenyans’ frustrations with the current administration.
Political analysts suggest that the exchange between Kibet and Malalah reflects early campaigns already taking shape. With the cost of living and governance concerns dominating national discourse, Opposition leaders are seizing every opportunity to frame the 2027 race as a referendum on President Ruto’s record.
As both camps trade words, the Kenyan public remains caught between political promises and harsh economic realities. Whether the Opposition eventually fields a “goat,” as Kibet mockingly claimed, or rallies behind a strong candidate, Malalah insists the outcome will be the same Kenyans eager for change at the ballot box.
Nakuru Country governor Her Excellency Susan Kihika will have to move with speed and put her house in order politically before it is too late.
Kihika came to power with massive support from the United Democratic party pushing then governor Lee Kinyanjui out of office. Her popularity was so massive that she sailed through without much pressure.
Well, it seems like things are not playing out as expected ahead of the 2027 general election. According to the video seen by us, Njoro residents rejected a two term slogan which was being fronted by newly nominated MCA Ruth Nduta.
Despite trying to plead with residents to chant two term slogans for Kihika. Residents asked her to leave if she continues with her calls.
