Speaking on Sunday, September 27, she said those who had predicted the party’s collapse were now the ones facing division.
Her remarks come against the backdrop of growing political differences involving several leaders, including Suba North MP Millicent Odhiambo.
Odhiambo recently warned Wanga that her respect for the governor should not be mistaken for fear, saying she would respond if she felt politically attacked.
The public disagreement between the two leaders has added a fresh layer to the wider debate about ODM’s direction ahead of the 2027 General Election.
Odhiambo has also previously questioned the handling of Edwin Sifuna, arguing that he should have been allowed to make his own political decision rather than being pushed out of the party.
Wanga, however, appears determined to project an image of strength and cohesion within ODM. She contrasted the party’s position with what she described as divisions among its critics, arguing that rival leaders were struggling to unite behind a common political direction.
With political realignments accelerating, Wanga’s latest declaration is likely to intensify debate over whether ODM can maintain internal unity while navigating competing ambitions and alliances ahead of 2027.
