The Kenya Police Service has finally made a major breakthrough in investigations into the violent attack on former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua during a Sunday service at the Kariobangi North PCEA Church.
In a press statement released on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, the Office of the Inspector General confirmed the arrest of seven suspects believed to have been part of the group that disrupted the church service and allegedly targeted the former DP.
The arrests come barely 24 hours after President William Ruto directed Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja to crack down on the attackers and their financiers, insisting that such acts of political hooliganism would not be tolerated.
