Mumias East member of Parliament, Hon. Peter Kalerwa Salasya has shocked Kenyans after sharing his June payslip.
Through his official X account, the vibrant youthful member of Parliament lamented after taking home only two thousand three hundred and sixty four and thirty cents (2,364.30 )Kenya shillings despite his total gross Salary reading one million, one hundred and sixty four thousand, five hundred and twenty seven shillings (1, 164,527.00.)
From the payslip, his Salary is taken by different entities to service loans that he took leaving him helpless.
He is currently servicing a car loan that he took to purchase a Prado that he is currently using to reach his constituents.
He has also a mortgage that he took which according to the payslip took over five hundred thousand shillings from his pay.
Salasya has been vocal in different meetings calling on the president to deal with those people looting the country dry.
Speaking in Mumias few days ago, he asked Ruto not to spare anyone who took government funds including those who allegedly received 2 million shillings to facilitate finance Bill in parliament.
