The Orange democratic Party leader Honorable Dr. Oburu Odinga has finally explained how the family of the late Raila Odinga reacted after he made it clear he was going to be sworn in as a people President in the 2028 drama.
Speaking just hours after being confirmed as the official ODM party leader at an event held in Mombasa, Oburu claimed that Raila Odinga and James Orengo came to his house to inform him of the plan at Uhuru park.

According to Oburu Odinga, the Jaramogi family was skeptical about Raila Odinga taking the oath since it was seen as treason. The punishment for such an action is death.
But despite knowing that, Odinga continued with the journey since for him, Kenyans needed a voice to protect them and if it meant losing his own for the better course, he was ready.
When my late brother came to me with an idea of swearing himself in as a President. I was against the whole thing because it was going to be direct treason and he would have been killed. However, Raila Odinga was not letting anything stop him from fulfilling his wish. He wanted Kenyans to see a leader who was ready to fight for them. Despite others close to him bolting out, he continued with the journey to Uhuru park and was sworn in by Miguna Miguna. ” Said Oburu Odinga.
