The United opposition team was hosted by the Wiper Party leader Honorable Kalonzo Musyoka during his party’s national delegate conference.
During the meeting, several leaders spoke about the chances of President William Ruto retaining his seat in the 2027 general election and possibilities of the opposition team mounting a strong team that can challenge his candidature.

After Gachagua, Dr. Fred Matiang’i took to the stage with a message to President William Ruto and his entire Kenya Kwanza administration.
Matiang’i Warned Ruto not to think that the President cannot be removed from the office through the ballot after serving the first term. He claimed that people have been shown it can be done in Africa and Presidents have left including; Malawi and Ghana. H
Matiang’i also asked those in government to be careful while issuing identification Cards to the border communities. According to him, it is a security risk not to vette people adequately before issuing the crucial documents to them.
