Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya, His Excellency Kithure Kindiki, has issued his final address ahead of the highly anticipated by-elections scheduled for tomorrow, November 27, 2025.
The DP released his statement on Wednesday evening through his social media platforms, just days after wrapping up an intense campaign trail in Mbeere North, where he encountered his former deputy, Rigathi Gachagua, in a heated political faceoff.
In his message, Kindiki urged Kenyans across all affected regions to uphold peace and unity during the electoral process. With several political seats up for contest, tensions have been high over the past week, but the DP expressed optimism that the country would maintain its democratic maturity.
According to Kindiki, Kenyans will be heading to the polls to fill key vacancies, including the Senator for Baringo County and Members of Parliament for Mbeere North, Malava, Ugunja, Kasipul, Magarini, and Banisa constituencies.
Additionally, 17 ward representative positions across various counties will be decided in what is expected to be a critical moment for local governance and national political alignment.

In his detailed statement from Kanyuambora in Mbeere North Constituency, the DP commended political parties and residents for conducting largely peaceful campaigns. He emphasized that this conduct reflects the democratic values the country has continued to uphold.
Kindiki further assured the public that the government has put in place comprehensive security measures to safeguard the integrity of the by-elections.
He noted that law enforcement agencies are fully prepared to prevent any form of interference, intimidation, or disruption that may hinder a free and fair voting exercise.
“Citizens are encouraged to exercise their democratic rights of electing their preferred political leaders during tomorrow’s by-elections,” he stated.
“The relevant security organs of the State will ensure that no one obstructs, disrupts, or otherwise impedes the exercise of the right of citizens to choose their political representatives.”
The DP concluded his submission by wishing success to all candidates in the race. He expressed hope that those elected will take up their roles with dedication, leading their communities with integrity and focusing on development.
“May the best candidates win, and may the challenging responsibilities of leadership ensue in earnest—uniting communities and forging forward with the development agenda of our country,” Kindiki said.
As the nation awaits polling day, all eyes now turn to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) and security agencies to ensure a smooth and credible electoral process.
