Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua is still at Karen Hospital where he was admitted after falling ill at the Senate building. According to his lawyers, he walked there after suffering acute chest pains from the ordeal he was facing in his removal from office. His Doctor Gikonyo claimed that he will be there for about 72 hours for observation.
Well, Kenyans have noticed something on Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua immediately after being removed from office by the Senate. He was voted out on five grounds that were forwarded by the national assembly of Kenya.
His official vehicle was seen without the flag a sign that he is officially the former Deputy President. His security has also been scaled down with chase cars Withdrawn too from his entourage.
Kenyans have really sympathized with him and his political career which will take a hit if the courts do not stop his removal. Him and his team have moved with speed to courts in an attempt to block the appointment of the new Deputy President.
President William Ruto has nominated Professor Kithure Kindiki as the new Deputy President. His name has been forwarded to the national assembly for consideration and if accepted. He will assume the office almost immediately.
