Kenya is in mourning following the sudden passing of Emurua Dikirr Member of Parliament Johanna Ngeno, a development that has sent shockwaves across the political landscape and among residents of Emurua Dikirr.
KANU Chairperson Honorable Gideon Moi has broken his silence with an emotional statement, describing the late MP as a close friend, a compatriot, and a fearless leader whose voice could not be ignored.
Moi said the evening was “deeply sad for Kenya,” noting that Emurua Dikirr had lost a courageous representative who always stood firm for his people.
According to Moi, Hon. Ngeno was a rare breed of politician who spoke his mind without fear or compromise.
He praised the legislator’s clarity, conviction, and unwavering commitment to defending his constituents, regardless of the political cost. Moi emphasized that whether one agreed with Ngeno or not, his sincerity and boldness were beyond question.
The KANU leader also reflected on the youthful energy and promise that defined the late MP’s political career.

Describing him as a young and fiery legislator, Moi lamented that Hon. Ngeno had his whole life ahead of him, only for destiny to cut that journey short.
In his message, Moi extended prayers and condolences to the family of the deceased, led by his wife, Mama Nayianoi Ntutu.
He also remembered the families of other victims who lost their lives in the tragic crash, calling on Kenyans to stand with them during this painful period.
“On behalf of the Moi family and the entire KANU fraternity, we extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and the people of Emurua Dikirr,” Moi said, urging unity and compassion as the nation mourns the loss of a dedicated public servant.
The death of Hon. Johanna Ngeno marks a significant loss to Parliament and to the people he served with unwavering passion.
