The inspector general of Police has issued a statement directed to the Police officers in active duties across the country. Kenyans have been left asking more questions about the timing of the directives.
This directive is coming amidst the growing activism cases within the police unit. For years, the Kenya police officers have been enjoying online presence with many joining platforms like TikTok, X, and Facebook.
Others like cop Shakur even went ahead to Join youths on the streets during protests against the government of the day.

Well, from the inspector general of Police angle, police officers should not post videos or things that are not approved by the authority. Many have been asked to pull-down all the videos and posts deemed inappropriate.
“Inspector General of Police Kanja orders officers to delete unauthorised social media posts, and warns misuse of platforms will not be tolerated.” Report.
A section of Kenyans online have agreed with the Police boss however others have claimed that, the directive is aimed at silencing the descending voices Within the forces and possibly stop any rift within the camps. Well, let’s wait and see what happens next after the directives.
